Two new release patterns...

You know how it is.
Life gets busy. The blog gets neglected. Yada - yada.

Lots has been happening lately. Our little boy is now 13 months old. He's cute. He's cheeky. He's full of energy. He's determined. He's lots of fun. He is also going to be a big brother sometime in June/ July area. Yep. Already a big brother! We're looking forward with some trepidation to the craziness that is to descend with 2 under 18 months.

Due to requests, I have released two patterns recently. Our first pattern, the Summertime Chevron Quilt, continues to be a popular purchase on our Etsy shop, with many people around the world making their own version. We now have added our little navy and lime Geo Cot Quilt to the mix, and our String of Owls Bunting.
I very much enjoy writing and releasing patterns, and something I'm looking forward to doing more of in the future.

Our eBay shop keeps me rather busy, which is ideal! We have new ranges from Moda constantly arriving at our doorstep, and leaving again soon after to new homes. Our popular ranges lately have been April Showers by Bonnie and Camille, Hello Petal by Aneela Hoey, and Bluebird Park by Kate and Paper Birdie Co. If you've bought some fabric from us, and made a finished item - why not share it? We'd love to see it!

I recently participated in the #greataussiedestash on Instagram. Talk about crazy fun. I was able to destash a lot of fabrics, and of course, bought quite a fair amount too. Incredibly some Heather Ross goodies. I have some wonderful plans for my new purchases. Check us out on Instagram. Our username is missymack. Destashes happen regularly - so if you're keen to grab a bargain, follow our feed.

Truly Scrumptious

The delicious new range from Bonnie and Camille, titled 'Scrumptious' is proving to be just as popular as their previously wonderful ranges. With touches of 'Ruby' and hints of 'Marmalade', it's a pretty and sweet range. I'm envisioning it as hexagons - which by the way, are also hugely popular again.

So, due to it's popularity, we have almost sold out of all our pre-order release of Scrumptious in our shop, with only 2 Charm Packs available. If you missed out now, don't fret! I have Layer Cakes, Jelly Rolls and Charm Packs, along with some yardage, due to arrive when the full range is released - around October area.

If you're making anything with this lovely range at the moment - please share! We'd love to see!

20/6 Edit: Check out Lilabelle Lane's beautiful work with the Scrumptious Range. She is making some gorgeous framed Hexies, which is something on my 'to do' sewing list. Which may be awhile in the making.

Road 15 by Sweetwater

We're a little excited at Missy Mack.
We just received a pre order shipment of the awesome new range by Sweetwater, "Road 15."
I've always been a huge Sweetwater fan. I loved 'Authentic', and made a quilt for Simon out of their 'Pure' range, and how cool was 'Noteworthy?' I still have a jelly roll in the Noteworthy range, that I will eventually make something pretty with. Eventually.

So, 'Road 15' is typical in fantastic Sweetwater style. We have little prints of maps and streets, including sweet houses and trees. But there is something else about this range that I think is really cool. A while back when designing this range, Sweetwater asked for some input from their blog readers. They asked for readers address's! Yep, so I added our address, and imagine our shock and delight when (after a few minutes of searching!) Simon found our address! One cannot get any cooler than that!

So, I'm delighted to share my newest favourite range of fabric with you. Whilst I think it's brilliant, it's also a fab range for boys with the great colours of aqua, red, green with bits of black and grey.

'Road 15' can be found in our Etsy shop, along with another new range, 'S'more Love,' by Julie Comstock of Cosmo Cricket. They can also be found on our eBay page (our eBay shop coming soon!)
Prices start from $34.00 for Jelly Rolls and Layer Cakes.
We are also getting some bolts from the Road 15 range, due in around August.

Happy sewing!

Some new fabric love, and a finish

Just had to share some of my recent purchases.
I dare anyone to walk past and not think these turtles and trees are the cutest things around. They just define cuteness in my book. And of course, being the selvedge collector I am, my heart went flip flops when it saw this one.
Yep, this is "Little Apples" by Aneela Hoey for Moda, and it's just the cutest!

Now, if you haven't heard of Umbrella Prints, it's a South Australian textile company producing some gorgeous and yummy prints. Check out their blog and website for some more eye candy, but here are three of their lovely fabrics. I just adore the colours - so fresh, so yum.

And finally? Well, with Christmas only *counts* nine and half weeks away *gasp* I'm getting into the festive mood. This is such a sweet range of fabric, and I'm looking forward to making a lovely table centre from these goodies.

These fabrics are from the range 'Countdown to Christmas' by the brilliant Sweetwater

Hope you're recent fabric purchases have been as yummy as mine!
All these fabrics were bought from work, the wonderful Patchwork with Gail B in Bayswater, VIC.

And to finish off my little post - a little quilt! I made this quick and easy cot quilt last week, specifically as a donation for our church Youth Group fundraising dinner. It was auctioned off and sold for $200, so that's pretty sweet!

I really like the colours and fabrics in this quilt, and had quite an enjoyable time making it. It's a simple stacked coins pattern, which looks great. But I think I love the border the most - it's just too darn cute.

Introducing...

Whilst I've been resting my back, and taking it easy, I've had a new vision and direction come for my life. Some of you will probably remember me mentioning about the 2 months I spent in Indonesia doing missionary work in 2007. Well, I've been wanting to 'do' something again for awhile now, and I feel I have a new vision, and idea.

So I'm officially introducing "Sew Blessed." I have a desire to make beautiful handmade clothes, toys, and blankets for orphans and needy children in Indonesia. I want them to be beautiful items, made with love, and then I want to pack them all up, and fly over personally to deliver them. I am so excited about going back to Indonesia again! I really want to spend a few weeks with the kids, and just bless and love them. I already have a place on my heart, which is Balikpapan in the western part of Borneo. My friend Elisabeth, has just flown there this week to spend a year teaching English in the school and orphanage.

So please, if you have some time, check out my new Sew Blessed blog. Thank you!

And just to let you know, Block 3 in the Stringybark Farm BOM is coming! I promise! I have just been flat out at the moment (it's insane!) But yes, it will be coming shortly, and I do apologise for the delay. Thank you for being patient.

And just to finish off with a bit of yumminess. "Bound to the Prairie 2" is one of my favourite ranges. I just couldn't resist.
